Story Time with Constable Emma
Take Flight was lucky enough to have the wonderful Constable Emma come and read to us. She read two exciting stories linking to our ongoing focus on social emotional intelligence. The first story was about friendship and being nice to everyone, even if they are different from you. The second story was about sharing and taking turns.
Oobleck
Take Flight learners have loved 2015's science focus and writing about their experiments. One of their favourites was making 'dancing oobleck'. It was such a simple and fun thing to make and generated rich and creative vocabulary about the look, feel and smell of the oobleck. It would be a great one to try at home on the weekend and very simple, just mix water, cornflour and food colouring.
