A long tiring day

At 1:30 we loaded back on to the bus and into cars to go home. Some of us were very, very tired and had a little nap on the drive back to school.

Bivouacs and Photography

The seniors had built amazing bivouacs in the bush out of ponga ferns and branches. We explored the bush and took photos with our buddies.

Bush Walk and Leaf Sketching

Mrs Honeyfield talked to us about different leaves, Bush Man's Note Paper was pretty cool.
Working with our buddies was lots of fun.

Playing Sport and Our Helpers

One of the rotations was playing Bat Down and Soccer.
Sometimes when we moved between activities our buddies would piggy back us.

Checking out Lake Okataina

We travelled by bus and car to Lake Okataina Camp. Our buddies came and met us and we had morning tea together. After that we got to explore the camp a little bit and see where they have been staying.

Many Thanks

All of us in the Take Flight Hub would like to say a huge thank you to all the families for firstly returning permission slips which meant that every member of our Hub attended - yippee!!!
Secondly an enormous thanks to those families who offered their time, expertise, vehicles and sense of humour to transport and supervise all our little people.
