With such busy lives an option for completing your reading each night is to record yourself.
Well done Briar on taking charge of your own learning - you are an inspiration.

Our very own Super Hero came to visit
On Monday Take Flight had a real life super hero come and visit.
With just a touch of imagination they worked out what his super powers might be - best of all they discovered that his super powers grow with each hug, pat and snuggle!

The KEY to being a GOOD FRIEND
Take Flight regularly talks about being a good friend to others. We have regular discussions, do role plays and activities which reinforce the importance of treating others with kindness and respect so that everyone can feel safe and happy at school. On Friday afternoon we worked with a partner to create what we thought was they "key" to a good friendship.
Recognising our own and others emotions
Take Flight has been learning about recognising our own and others emotions. Here our some snaps of our posters to 'show' rather than 'tell' characteristics of different emotions.
How to blow a Bubble
Take Flight has been learning how to write a procedure. Last week we wrote procedures of how to blow a bubble with bubble gum. Check out a few of our fabulous procedures!
1. Put the bubble gum in your mouth
2.Chew the gum until is is as soft as ice cream.
3.Spread the gum all over the tip of your tongue.
4.Blow and blow and blow until the bubble pops!
By Azaria
First you buy some bubble gum.
Then you put it in your mouth and chew until it is soft.
When it is soft you push it over your tongue.

Book Character Dress Up Day
Take Flight had a blast dressing up as a range of weird, whacky and wonderful characters from our favourite story books. Some of our faves were Captain Underpants, the Cat in the Hat, Little Red Riding Hood and a Minion, who all won a prize or received a Power Card for their fantastic effort and creativity. Ka Pai Team!
Don't forget to check out the awesome range of books at the Book Fair on display in our School Library.
