RAK = Random Act of Kindness

Karaka had to chose someone that they thought was deserving of a Random Act of Kindness.
They voted and chose Matua Andrew. With the support of Carrie and Luke form Kiwcan a celebration was put together complete with fun games and a yummy cake for Matua Andrew.

The class made Matua Andrew a gold medal and crown to take with him to the Surf Life saving World Champs that he is going to in France.

A massive congratulations to Karaka who took out the Kiwican class challenge for the second term in a row.

The Big Slurp

Welcome Bay School took part in a nationwide "Big Slurp"promoted by the Milk in Schools project.
We had our library van time slot so we got there a little bit late but we still enjoyed slurping our milk.

Take Flight Writers

Across the junior Hubs there has been a big focus on writing.
This week our Hub is sharing a short movie at assembly featuring a sample of the clever writers that are growing in our classrooms.
