Karaka's Senses Poems

In Karaka we've been working very hard on using our senses to help make our writing more interesting.
We wrote some great poems and Ms D has published them onto our Writer's Blog. Please click on the link on the right hand side to go and see them.

Here is Reef's poem to showcase the great work you can see on Take Flight's writer Blog.

Senses Poem
I like the feel of my cat’s fur because it’s soft and bushy.
I like the smell of spaghetti when it first comes out of the oven.
I like the taste of noodles because they wiggle in my throat.
I like the sound of a rattle snakes tail when it shakes.
I like the look of clouds because they can change colour from white to black.

A song to make you think :-)

While resting with my ankle elevated I found this great clip and wondered whether it would be a good song for Take Flight to lead at the next assembly we run.

What do you think?
