As part of Power Bird Hour we are undertaking "Technology Challenges".
These are linked to a traditional fairy tale or fable and are lots of fun.

Ukulele Group
Some of our talented Year 2s and 3s performed at our Friday assembly.
It takes a lot of courage to perform for an audience and they all showed they were true Karearea.
Hangi celebration for Matariki
As part of the Matariki celebrations WBS children were able to experience eating delicious hangi.
Many, many thanks to everyone involved in making this possible from food donations to cooking to serving the kai.

Take Flight Goal
One of our goals as a Hub is showing we are a Kereru which means we look after our belongings and environment. To do that we had a big tidy up of our bag areas and talked about how this would help us care for our things and our Hub. Mr Martin thinks Take Flight is looking very sharp and they should all stand proud.

Putting our Books and Reading Skills into action
Tuatua Rua have been reading a gorgeous book about making a caterpillar planter.
Today they got the chance to make their own planter. Next they had to put on masks to keep them safe while handling seed mix before planting their little seeds.
Now we water them gently, hope for a bit of sun and wait patiently...
